Upon inspection of the existing roof system, the roof lacked a proper insulation value to keep the building warm. Upon roof replacement, curbs were built at the bottom of the mechanical systems due to the new height provided by the new insulation. After everything was installed, a new layer of liquid base flashing created the water tightness required.
STONE scoped the replacement of the masonry pointing at the entirery of the building due to the existing pointing being decrepit as it was original to the building.
Other sections of the existing roof also required attention. The existing shingles of the roof required replacement, STONE scoped replacement of new shingles to match exsiting in kind.
Due to the existing roofing system exhibting sever weathering and lack of insulation for the building, STONE scoped the replacement of the existing roofing system, adding new insulation thats to code, replacing the existing coping covers with new, and installation of a picket top mount railing for safety.
To achieve access to the existing roofs apart from the bulkheads, STONE scoped the installation of new ship ladders for access for maintenance and repairs with ease.
The existing canopy exhibited aging and required restoration. STONE scoped the resotration of hte canopy to be repaired, with the roof the canopy replaced, and the paerimeter of the canopy repainted from the existing teal to a sharp black.
The West wall of the building, at the pool was found to have air infiltration from the exeterior that required immediate repairs. STONE deisgned a new, insulating wall that would allow the heat of the pool to be retained effectively. The wall was rebuilt with a new pre-cast coping stone at the top end for a clean finish.
In addition to the rebuiding of the rear West building wall along the interior pool, STONE also redesigned the glass exterior facade of the building. The new glass storefront facade included actuated windows to allow for quick ventilation and tinted UV glass to not obstruct the view of anyone inside. After completion, the building;s energy effiecency increased by over 50%.
