Once the concrete exposed the existing steel at the balconies, STONE got to work by rehabilitating all steel found to be exhibiting delamination, or weakening prior to the continuation of any work.
Once repairs and coating of all existing balcony steel at the building were completed, the installation of new reinforcement bar began to ensure the issues that persisted at the balconies do not occur again.
STONE made sure that the new coated steel was liquid flashed at the building connection to ensure no future damage to the steel from possible water infiltration at the connection points occurs.
Once all updates to the existing balconies were completed; steel rehabilitation and new re-bar at the balconies, new concrete pouring began to revive the balconies at the building. Once pouring was completed, the balconies were flush and sloped to ensure no ponding occured.
