The gorgeous street facades of the building have decorative Terra Cotta sections installed to showcase the facade of the building. Although upon close up inspection, the deficiencies of the decorative stone required several patching repairs and replacement of severly deteriorated decorative stone sections. Upon completion of replacement and select repairs, the facade looked anew.
STONE made sure to apply our attention to detail to all the decorative stone and masonry locations. Repairs were carefully tended to, to acheive the historic aesthethic without altering the facade in any way. STONE recaulked all decorative stones, and repointed all required locations at the masonry as per original look and Landmarks approval.
Along the street facade of the building, STONE observed several locations of cracked decorative stone headers that required replacement. STONE replaced all damaged headers in kind to match historic condtions per LPC mandates.
STONE replaced mutliple locations of damaged masonry around the facades of the building. Upon installation of new masonry, STONE scoped a new coating application to match the existing street facade color for a seamless look throughhout.
STONE also attended to the replacement of existing window caulking that was found to be in weathered condtion upon observation. The new caulking matched the color of the adjacent masonry and window frame to match histroic conditions.
Tending to all facades of the building, STONE repointed, repaired, and pressure washed the East Elevation of the building to accept a new coating to match the existing historic conditions. STONE also scoped the replacement of Thru-wall flashing at bump out masonry at the lower end of the Eastern Elevation for protection from possible water infiltration.
